Nutrition Advice Avoid the "3 White Poisons"

I've helped thousands of people lose hundreds of thousands of pounds through my training, my mentorship, and helping with nutritional advice. I was a pharmacy technician at the OSU Medical Center and with the United States Army for a total of 10 years.

So I've had a lot of background in the medical field and I want to talk to you guys today about the three white poisons. The three white poisons are three things you should avoid. By all means, we gotta wave the white flag on them. All right. Go ahead and take a guess on what the first one is…..and don’t say coke.

But it tastes so good tho….

But it tastes so good tho….

The first white poison is sugar. Sugar goes straight to the blood. And when I talk about sugar, I mean dextrose, sucrose, brown sugar, white sugar, even honey like us bodybuilders and athletes use who love to eat healthy. We like to eat that honey. The body uses it just the same. It goes straight into the bloodstream.

Then the pancreas secretes the insulin that takes the sugar out of the bloodstream, but the pancreas loves to overreact. Like some people do, the pancreas overreacts, takes the sugar out of the bloodstream and then when it overreacts, that's when we get our fatigue, our moodiness, our depression. Sometimes our lightheadedness is because of that. Do you have a guess of how many pounds of sugar the average American eats in a year?

160 pounds of sugar!

The average American consumes 160 pounds of sugar, 160 pounds of sugar in a year. All right, so if we have our fruits, our vegetables, the serving size we're supposed to have in our complex carbs, there's no reason, no reason that we should be overweight because we don't need any more sugar besides those three things. 50 million Americans in our country are overweight.

One of the side effects of too much sugar is tooth decay. Another one is depression, another one is diabetes, and another one is irritability and moodiness. The other thing about sugar is it takes away from the proper nutrients and foods that we really need. So it's a double whammy. It jacks us up, but it doesn't allow us to leave room for the nutritious foods that our body really needs. So keep in mind, when you say “just this once,” you’re hurting yourself twice.

So what we gotta do, we gotta hit the button, we gotta hit the delete button on sugar. We got to unfollow it. We got to unfriend it and cut it off. Sugar. No more. Eat better. Exercise more. That's the first white poison, sugar.

The second one is salt. The average person consumes 20 pounds of salt per year. And on average we need two pounds. The average person consumes 20 pounds of salt per year. And on average we really need two pounds. Water retention. Oh my gosh, there's nothing worse.

There's nothing worse than eating a bunch of crap. So you already feel fat and then you're holding water. High blood pressure, hypertension. So what we need to do with that is we need to drink eight to 10 cups of water a day, eight to 10 cups of water per day, drink water, and it needs to be filtered water, you know?

We don't want to drink the tap water. We see what's in the water in Flint, Michigan and other places. Obviously it's not good. We need to ask the question of why our tap water is poisoned like that, but I'll save that for another day. I wish I had invested money in bottled water 20 years ago and not spent so much time playing PlayStation. I'd be a rich man. I’d be traveling all over the world. Bottled water, filtered water, fresh natural foods, and decrease the salt. All right.

Do you know why Americans consume too much sugar and too much salt?

The reason is processed food and canned foods. Americans consume too much of it and those preservatives and ingredients create our extra fat cells. You must read the ingredients of whatever you buy. Read the ingredients and you’ll see that salt is probably always in the top three. All right, so lose the salt.

The third one, the third white poison is white flour. What happens with that is they take wheat and then bleach it. So bleach, I mean, who even wants to breathe that in? So they bleach our wheat and that's what creates white flour. White flour has absolutely zero, none, no nutritional value. Zero. So when you get home tonight, take your white flour and flush it down the toilet. All right, so that's our three white poisons.

We have sugar, salt, and white flour. All right we need to do a better job of understanding and avoiding these things and we need to eat like the person that we want to be. Consume your food like the person you want to be and you'll succeed.
