Founder and Owner, Quentin McCohn created McCohn Muscle as a training facility for adults and student athletes after years of working toward his own fitness goals and earning a handful of (natural) competitive bodybuilding trophies.

Q joined the US Army in 1999 and developed his passion for exercise and training while serving in South Korea. Through a steady diet of learning from “Flex” and “Oxygen” magazines, Q built his foundation on muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, body composition, and the many ways they affect the body. While serving at Fort Lewis, Washington, Q. McCohn lead his peers in Physical Training (PT) workouts because of his extensive fitness knowledge and natural teaching ability.

McCohn Muscle was established in 2012 and operated out of Columbus area gyms where Q instructed private training as well as small and large group classes. He has built a large, consistent following (his tribe) while reaching his own personal fitness goals at the same time.

In 2015, Quentin put aside his bodybuilding goals to focus on opening and owning a training facility to serve the clients he had been training over the past seven years. He wanted a home for his tribe and the ability to serve more people.

MM’s training philosophy is to strengthen and condition every muscle group, while improving balance, coordination, and flexibility. We believe the human body is one of God's greatest creations and deserves respect, attention, care, and quality training.

We meet you where you are. Whether you have worked out for decades, never had an exercise program, are 40lbs overweight, or want to add lean muscle to your body, we can get your results. These results have been proven and is what helps make us one of the best training gyms in Columbus and the Worthington area.

QUENTIN McCOHN

My purpose is to simply help people improve their lives through health and fitness. I strive each day to give members a great training experience so that they feel great and go do great things. I was born in Lorain, Ohio, lived for a few years in St. Louis, Missouri before returning back to Columbus where I've been the majority of my life.

I have been entrenched in training and gyms for the past 10 years. I have worked around trainers from all over the city. Training knowledge, attentiveness, comprehensive fitness assessments, and enthusiasm is what sets me apart. You can get good workouts out a lot of gyms, but finding someone that is passionate, enthusiastic, educated, and willingly wants to help you reach your goals is a lot harder to find.

I used to be an overweight kid. I used my classmates jokes for motivation. So I appreciate them. Now I'm the one they reach out to when they need to lose some pounds and start a healthier lifestyle. (They didn’t realize that when the odds are stacked against me, I use that as motivation and don’t stop until I succeed.)

Favorite Activity:  I spend most of my waking hours on my business, but I know that it’s important to take time to relax. I unwind by reading and watching action movies.

Fun Fact: I love to sing and dance but do not do either particularly well, and I’m ok with that.

Favorite Cheat Food: Brazilian cheese bread, aka pao de queijo

MO NAYAL

Exercising with professional bodybuilders and powerlifters to learn about working out is like jumping in the deep end of the pool to learn to swim. That’s exactly how I got my start in the fitness industry. This invaluable insight served as the catalyst for pursuing a degree in Sports Physiology at OSU.

I am living proof of that anyone can change their body with determination and proper support. I wasn’t born this buff! It took lots of hard work.

My passion for working out is something I want to share with others so they may be encouraged to enjoy this healthy lifestyle, too. I was born and raised in Mayfield, Ohio.
